Sleep! Oh Glorious Sleep!

Colin has been sleeping soo much better! (knock on wood)  On average he gets a good 8 hour stretch in and some nights even more! Last week he slept 9 1/2 hours one night! So awesome! He usually wakes up and asks for Nummies in bed... and then he moves from his bed to our bed for some nummies and another hour or two of sleep and snuggles.  Hooray! Love this little boy!

Winter/Fall Weather wear!

Soo... I got some new boots.... from Justfab.com... I HIGHLY recommend this site! They had a BOGO sale and I got two pairs and then I got a store credit and have another one on the way. So basically I bought 3 pairs of boots for the price of one! You can't beat that!  Between my new boots, new boot socks and a new sweater I decided I'd do a quick fashion post!

Forewarning I had to find a new place to take my pictures because we rearranged the living to accommodate all the bday presents Colin got... Soo... I got a little carried away with my modeling! Ha!

New sweater from Target!! I added a belt to give it some shape. My new boots and boot socks... which are the new trend this year.. and I LOVE them! 

Another new trend.. plaid and jean shirts. I bought this one awhile back at Sear's. It is a little short for my leggings... BUT I wear it with a longer shirt underneath and I think it works! Again the boot socks and another new pair of boots. 

Look at this cute shirt I bought 50% off at Target... it is missing a few buttons... hence why I misbuttoned it for the pictures! Ha ha!! But I will fix it!  I normally wouldn't wear this with leggings, but I was too lazy to change! :)

AND.. this lovely sweater my mom bought me last year at the Banana Republic outlet. I LOVE it!

2 year check up

Today was Colin's 2 year check up. I've been very nervous for this apt. At his 18 month apt I didn't agree with the doctor on some things so we switched to a different one. This was our first appointment with the new doctor. 

I was nervously eating leftover birthday cake before we left and so was Colin.,, but I was more so hoping he would weigh more! Ha! 

Colin despises the scale at the dr office. It is like death! Ha ha!  I don't know why it is so scary.  I have to hold him, get weighed and then put him down and get weighed! 

Anyway the kid weighed in at 25 lbs and was 35 inches. The lady doing the measurement was new so I'm worried they might be wrong... But for now he is on a growth track to be 6 feet tall like his daddy!  I guess my tiny kid isn't so tiny?! He is long and lean. 

He was 21 lbs and 31 1/2 inches at his 18 month apt! 

The doctor was great with Colin and checked everything while making him laugh the whole time! She was happy we were still nursing and said i was protecting him and keeping him healthy.  (Unlike the last doctor who told me to stop)  I'm so glad we switched and have someone who is on board with my parenting! 

Colin's Choo Choo 2nd Birthday Party!

So I basically did this entire party for under $100... including food! We saved boxes for months and I used craft paper that I already had for most of the decor. My parents came early to help me decorate and basically decorated the entire house in balloons! Ha! I bought the plates, napkins, bubbles and some party favors from the dollar store for under 15 bucks and made all the food myself, with the exception of pizza... which was by far the biggest expense of  the party!

 My homemade train cake... only took me like 4 hours to do! Ha! 

 So it is hard to see... but my front door decor and I made train tracks on the tile..

This game was a bust... Nobody played it... Oh well, the thought that counts!

So... he wasn't a fan of everyone singing to him...  Poor little buddy. 

But after a quick diaper change and a break away from the crowd he came back and dug right in!

I am overwhelmed with this week and it has just begun! Lol there is just soo much to do and not enough time! 

Colin turns 2 on Thursday and his party is on Saturday. I decided to do all the decorations, activities and food myself and I'm not even close to finishing the decor! (Can you say pizza?)

On top of that I have an article I need to write this week for the local paper... And I need to go out and take pictures, interview people and then put it all together. 

And on top of all that i don't feel good!! I don't know if it is blood pressure or just some weird neck/back issue that is hitting a nerve but yesterday I had a pounding headache and I would get dizzy if I stood up! Not fun! I feel better today but still feel like something is off. So I also have 2 doctor apts to figure this out!

So hopefully I survive my week! Prayers!!
