Stretching...

I discovered my first stretch marks today. It was a sad day.  Surprisingly they aren't on my stomach... but on my right thigh... Lol. And it isn't like I've gained a lot of weight in my thighs (or my right thigh... for that matter.) I've exercised this entire pregnancy... played and coached soccer until I was 4 or 5 months, did Zumba after soccer was over and until about my third trimester and I've walked on my treadmill almost every morning and just started doing evening walks too.  How the heck did I get stretch marks on my thighs?!

Oh well... guess I can't complain. It isn't like I spent lots of time in a bathing suit BEFORE getting pregnant... so I don't really plan on spending tons of time in a bathing suit afterwards.  Guess I will just keep up my regular routine and see what happens!

31 weeks

Today was a good day! It was the first of our 2 week OB appointments, which is exciting in itself.  I knew I had gained some weight since my last apt, because I swear baby went through a big growth spurt last week... and you saw the proof by my pictures! Ha!

The best news of the day, the Dr got the report back from our ultrasound and MY PLACENTA MOVED UP! Hooray! No placenta previa and no planned c-section! I kind of felt like I've been in limbo waiting to see what our outcome will be and what to mentally prepare for... and I am so relieved that for now I can mentally prepare for a vaginal birth.

Anyway, baby was good! The Dr. said he was the most well behaved baby she had seen all day because she was able to find his heartbeat right away and all the other kids were hiding from her today! So she told him he was a good boy! Lol

His heartbeat was in the 140's and I was measuring right on target at 31 weeks!  :)

Ok, got the picture! I look the same as last week! Had a big growth spurt from 29 to 30 weeks... but nothing really since then.

Last Doggie post

Today I watched Bodie boy drive away with a new family. It was definitely bittersweet. I did not cry (shocking, I know) But I think it was because I knew he was going to a good family and he would get lots of love and attention.

Bodie seemed to like the guy and the guy seemed to think that his wife would just love him. And knowing Bodie, he will  love her to death because he loves women! I was kind of surprised that he just jumped right into the guy's car like nothing. I gave him a dog biscuit and said a quick goodbye. The guy left his front door open while I talked to him and gave him all of Bodie's shot records and such. I was really shocked that Bodie didn't just jump right out of the car, but he instead just stayed in the back of the car... like he knew.

I thought when he drove away would be really sad. He watched me for a little and then went and smelled the guy's face and was looking about the car and out the other windows. I thought he'd freak out and be really sad to leave me, but he didn't seem all that concerned. Although part of me thinks he was just intrigued and would realize what had happened and get sad on his drive back to Albuquerque.  :(

A couple times today I thought about what he might be doing and if he was sad.  But Ryan just reminded me that he was probably on their couch getting spoiled... and I bet he is right. Lol  I just hope he isn't too sad.

Our other dog, Bailey seems to be enjoying the individual attention... although she keeps looking for Bodie.  I think she will be a bit lonely at first but will adjust to how life was a year a half ago pretty quick.

Also, tonight we were able to let our cat outside to play in the backyard with Bailey for the first time in a year and half. Bodie HATED the cat, while Bailey and Eric are rather fond of each other. It was soo funny to watch them play together again. And makes me see how much our lives were turned around with the Bodie. I loved him very much and he was a part of our family, but he definitely stirred things up and changed our family dynamic and it is kind of nice for it to be back to normal. I just hope and pray that he is happy and makes his new family very happy too.

Update on our Bodie Boy

Earlier this week I posted a blog about one of my biggest stressor, finding a new home for our boy dog, Bodie. I posted it on facebook... and boy I didn't realize how much traffic I would get off of that! Lol I typically get like 2-4 readers a day and after I posted it on facebook I got 25 readers one day and 13 another!  Crazy!

Anyway, after I had kind of written off the dentist lady and her husband (who I had fallen in love with over email as the perfect match for Bodie) because they hadn't gotten approval from their landlord. I got an email from them Tuesday afternoon.... they had finally gotten approval!! Hooray!  I was so very excited!  The dentist lady can't come this weekend... but her husband is coming to meet Bodie on Friday morning.  I am very nervous, but hopeful that he will fall in love my Bodie boy.

I know Bodie will be nervous. He always has a hard time when he is away from Bailey and acts very calm and shy.  (Which I guess may be a good thing, since he won't be acting all crazy! Lol) I just hope he opens up to the guy a bit so that he can fall in love with him, like I have and want to give him a good home.

So... fingers crossed. If it doesn't work out for them Friday morning they are supposed to think about it and get back to me before Saturday morning, when we have another family coming, the family with an 8 year old boy, on Saturday.

So that is the update. We should know more on Bodie's new home by this weekend.  Fingers crossed that everything works out for the best and he goes to someone who will love him as much and even more than we do.  Also... that I don't cry to much if he does find his new home this weekend!

Oh yeah and Holy Growth Spurt!

I forgot to mention how much I've grown in the past week.... See:

29 weeks

30 weeks

Also I keep hearing how high I am carrying this boy... and how usually boys are carried lower. While I typically don't care what people say... should it be time I start dropping? Or not so much? I have no clue!

30 weeks

Well I am 30 weeks... which means I only have 10 weeks left... or 70 days (give or take a week or two). Crazy!

I have been feeling really huge lately, but some nice stranger came up to me in the grocery store the other day and told me I looked beautiful. Thank you stranger lady, I appreciated the compliment! (No, I did not grab my purse tighter and think that maybe it was a ploy to steal my wallet and then feel silly after I realized my wallet was still there and you were just being nice...)   I showed my mom my 30 week picture and she said I was big and that I looked REALLY pregnant. Thank you mother! Although I must admit I am nervous as to how much bigger I will get!

Baby is 15.7 inches long and although baby center says he should weigh 3 pounds, I am betting he is bigger than that since last week at our ultrasound he was almost 3 pounds.  I have been feeling him move around more and more. It is crazy that the movement just becomes kind of natural and something you expect and don't think anything of.  How weird it will be after baby is here to not feel that movement inside anymore.

Anyway here is my 30 week picture!

One of my biggest stressors...

Finding this beautiful boy a good home.

I posted an add about him on craigslist two weeks ago. I had never used craigslist before and was really nervous. The first email I got was from some crazy lady warning me that dog fighters use craigslist to find bait dogs and my add was a good target. Thank you for making this pregnant lady cry you crazy paranoid lady! Lol  Anyway, I actually had several non spam emails interested in our Bodie boy.

The first was a man who has a 8 year old son and has been wanting to get a dog for his son. He said my description of Bodie was spot on with his son's personality and he wanted to meet up. He wanted me to call him, but I was a chicken, so I emailed him back and he didn't respond for about a week... but he wants to meet up this coming weekend.

While I was waiting for him to email me back another person emailed who made me VERY interested. This lady is a dentist who just moved to NM. Her and her husband are looking for a dog that can keep up with their physical activity levels. She bikes and he runs everyday. To me, they seemed absolutely PERFECT. They were supposed to come see him  weekend before last... but they hadn't gotten approval from their landlord yet. I REALLY had my hopes up that they were Bodie's dream family.  They called the day before we were supposed to meet explaining to me their landlord situation. They were hoping to get it figured out this past week and come meet Bodie this past weekend... but still no luck with their landlord.   I am soo bummed because I thought they would be the best fit. They told me this weekend that as soon as there was a change in their landlord's status of approval they would let me know.... until then... I still have 2 other people interested in Bodie. Another local guy saw a flier I had put up and said he was really interested as well.

What the heck do I do? Ryan thinks it isn't going to work out for the dentist lady. And my Mom tells me that I should give him to the first people who want him. I wish she would understand that I don't just want to give him away... I love him and I want him to live a happy life with a new family.

I talked to Ryan about it this weekend because it is really stressing me out. I would love nothing more than to wait around for these people who seem soo very perfect for him, but I don't want to miss an opportunity with another family. Ryan told me he was pretty positive that it wasn't going to work out with their landlords since it is taking soo long with their approval. We talked about giving them until Wednesday of this week to give me an answer. If I haven't heard from them, then I should move on to the local guy and if he doesn't work out the other family is coming on Saturday.

Sigh... this is such a hard decision for me and I kind of just want it to be over with so I can stop worrying about it.  :(

Hello Pregnancy Hormones!

Nice to meet you!

Like out of nowhere... they have arrived.... evil pregnancy hormones.

I *feel* like hormonally I have been pretty stable throughout the past 29 weeks or so.  Although, other people may beg to differ. It wasn't until the past week or so that I feel them. I feel myself getting really upset over something small and petty that I wouldn't normally get upset over.

Yesterday was probably the worst. I don't know why, but everything was stressing me out and I just felt overwhelmed and like I just needed to cry. I was eventually able to shake it... but gosh that sucked!  I hope it just a little phase and this hormonal part goes away soon.... but I kind of doubt it! At least I know that I am doing it and give myself the excuse!! Lol

Nursery

Ryan put the curtains up!!! Hooray! Only problem... we need to get a 3rd window curtain panel! My super wide window, that I measured.... is still too wide with my 104 inches of window panels and I need another. :( Bummer. Even bigger bummer... I just looked them up online and they are now on back order! Ugh. Until then... this is what it looks like!  One piece at a time... literally! Lol

ALSO,  I convinced Ryan that we needed a new ceiling fan in the nursery. The fact that the actual fan didn't work I think helped convince him. But the real reason I don't like it is because it is ugly. It is all 70's style and has hasty gold hardware... yuck! I am really excited to get the new fan up! Don't know when it will happen, but as long as it is before the baby comes then I will be happy! :)

Today I feel HUGE

I know I am not huge and and I know I still have a  looong way to go. But today I just feel huge.

Most of my work shirts (I am supposed to wear a uniform) that I've been wearing are men's uniform shirts. I tried squeezing into a medium women's work shirt yesterday and while it did fit... I could tell that was probably the last time I was going to even attempt to wear it until after I have the baby.

It is getting harder to pick things up that are on the ground and sleeping is getting less comfortable and less enjoyable.

Huh... sounds like I'm in the 3rd trimester.... Oh wait.... I am!

11 more weeks!! Lol

29 weeks

Well, baby is supposed to be 2 1/2 pounds and 15 inches long.... BUT after our ultrasound yesterday they told us that he was weighing in at 2lbs and 12 ounces! Wonder if that means he will be a big baby?  Nothing else really knew, still the same old same!

My pictures are looking worse and worse... wonder if it my camera phone or mirror needs to be cleaned!

Ultrasound

Well today was our ultrasound. It was both good and bad... but mostly good, I suppose.  Of course it was wonderful to see baby! He looked so crammed in there!!  Baby looked good, he was sucking on his fingers and had both of his hands in his face. The weirdest part was feeling him move and seeing him move at the same time! So weird. Also, when you saw his face I noticed that his eyes were open! It was kind of creepy, but also kind of cute! Lol. He looked like he had big ole round eyes like his momma! I hope that's the case! :)

The not soo good part was the whole point of the ultrasound was to check my placenta and see if it had moved up. Unfortunately I didn't drink enough water for them to see anything with my cervix and placenta. :(  I wasn't very happy about that.  I had a Dentist apt. RIGHT before the ultrasound. I came home to pick up Ryan and I chugged half a bottle of water... but apparently that wasn't good enough. :(  So it looks like I will have to have another ultrasound. Of course that isn't a bad thing, but I was hoping it would be resolved.

On a lighter note, baby boy is 100% BOY!!!  At first his legs were together and I was like, NOOOOO, please move them! Then, he did and as the ultrasound tech said, he was not hiding and showing the world that he was indeed a HE! :)  I am very glad I don't have to return anything! Lol

Weekend

Saturday was my wonderful hubby's birthday! I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man. He is my best friend and he is going to be the best daddy in the entire world to our little one!  I love him soo much... Aww...

This was taken about 9 weeks ago at a family wedding. He HATES pictures and it is hard to get a serious/normal one out of him! :)
We had a nice get together with some friends on Saturday night for his birthday and then it POURED rain all night! It was splendid! This was the first weekend we've spent home in what seems like an eternity and it was ooh so nice just to be home and relax! :)

Today is the BIG Day! We go for our ultrasound this afternoon! I am so excited! :) Also I am 29 weeks.... meaning only 11 short weeks until baby arrives... Eeek!  I don't know if I am ready for this... yet I am so very excited to meet and hold our little one! :)

28 week apt.

We had our 28 week doctor's appointment today and I had to do the dreaded Glucose test. I was kind of nervous about the glucose test. I chugged the nasty orange drink and it was a lot more to drink than I expected. Soo gross! But luckily I didn't get too sick... although I did get a tummy ache and a head ache! Lol  And after our apt. I got my finger pricked  to check my glucose level and my number was 109.... PASS! :) Woo Hoo!   Baby looks good. I am 28 weeks and 3 days and I was measuring 29 weeks. His heart rate was between 140 and 150 bpm.   We also scheduled our next ultrasound apt. to see if my placenta has moved up since my last 20 week ultrasound..... AND we get to go in on Monday... like as in 3 days from today... for our ultrasound! I am VERY excited. It is always cool to see the baby and it will be neat to see how much he has grown. Plus of course to verify that he is 100% a HE and that other important thing about the placenta!  My blood pressure was a bit higher than normal at this apt... but I am gonna blame it on the glucose test! :) Our next apt is in 2 weeks.

How far along?: 28 weeks

How big is baby?: 16 inches and 2 1/2 pounds!! That seems HUGE! Lol

Weight gain/loss?: I think I gained 3 pounds from last apt.... but they didn't tell me. According to my calculations, 15 pounds.

Stretch marks?: None yet... Hope it stays that way! :) I had a panic attack the other day cause I thought I saw some... but it was just sleep lines! :)

Maternity clothes?: Pretty much everything maternity except for Maxi Dresses and work shirts.

Sleep?: I have been getting up once every night to pee. Other than that... sleeping well... except I got hot being sandwiched between the cat and the husband. But most nights I manage rather well!

Food cravings?: Still Raspberries and Steak. And ice cream has been creeping up on the list... mmmm....
Gender?: Boy

Movement?: Oh yeah! He is a wiggle monster! He kicked Ryan soo hard the other day... it was great! Lol
Belly button: Still an innie!! I think it will either stay and innie or get flat. :) Ryan asked the Dr. about it today she said it might stay an innie! :)

What are you looking forward to this week?: Getting our ultrasound on Monday! Can't wait to see how much baby has grown!

28 weeks

Ummm.... can you believe I am in the 3rd trimester... because I sure can't! I have 12 weeks left until my due date. 12 weeks!!!!    I hope I will have everything done by then!  I just can not believe how fast this has gone by.

I have noticed that I am more tired than I have been the past 6 months. If I could take a nap everyday I would... unfortunately that isn't always possible. :( But last week I started 30 minute power naps. I don't think I've taken a 30 minute power nap since I was in college. I have been getting up early to walk on the treadmill almost everyday this pregnancy and lately it has been soo hard.... I'd rather sleep in 20 minutes than walk on the treadmill. But I know it is just as important now than ever.

I also have been more emotional just this past week too. I haven't really had messed up emotions (I guess other people may beg to differ... Ha!  But I think I've been pretty normal!) until now. I've cried a couple times just in the past week... over stupid stuff.  Hopefully it doesn't progressively get worse the next 12 weeks I don't know if Ryan will be able to handle it!

Speaking of Ryan this morning the baby kicked him soo hard that he couldn't believe it was the baby! Lol He was like, are you sure that was the baby! Lol Baby has been doing some major movement and I imagine we will only feel him stronger and stronger over the next 12 weeks.

I will do my 28 week stats after my apt. on Friday. I gained another pound... which I *think* puts me at 13 so far... but I'm not sure. I am super excited for my apt. This is my last 4 week apt. and after this we will start going every 2 weeks. We should also have our next ultrasound scheduled... Hooray!

And here is my 28 wk picture:

Hope this baby is really a boy!

I just bought round wall letters with his name to put on the wall... hand painted little circles. Perfectly matching his bedding. Adorable, hand painted circles that are green, blue and brown.  With HIS name spelled out.   I don't think I can return these personalized letters if by chance this is not a boy! Lol.  Soo... Here's hoping that he is still a boy at our next ultrasound!  :)

Belly Movement....

So I don't typically stare at my bare belly. OK...well, more now that it is growing than ever... but still not very often. Anyway... today I noticed that when the baby moves soo does my belly. I don't know how I didn't figure this out earlier... but it is truly fascinating! :) I tried to drink a bunch of juice before Ryan came home so I could show him the baby's new trick... but it didn't work. Baby only does things on his clock.

So for the next 85 days.... I am going to be mildly obsessed with my belly moving. It is my new favorite trick of the baby! Lol

Nursery update

We had a change of plans this weekend and went to Alb. instead of our hometown Socorro. I was a little bummed about not going home, but it worked out well in the end and we were able to spend time with my parents in Alb. instead.

Like I mentioned in my previous post... we bought a car seat! Still really excited about that! Lol

I also bought some more stuff for the nursery decor and all of my decor ideas flew out the window this weekend.

I did NOT want to do a sports themed nursery.... BUT I saw this really adorable vintage metal soccer ball wall decor at Target... and I kind of melted. It was perfect. Ryan convinced me that we needed the football one too... although I am not quite as excited about that one. Lol.   So new ideas from the weekend is to ditch the idea of putting polka dots on the wall and the big wall I want to decorate will have Baby's name in very cute little letters that match the polka dot bedding and then the vintage soccer and football wall decor on each side of his name.

Adorable vintage soccer ball. This is not where it will go, I just wanted to see it on the wall and I had a nail there! Lol This is where I want to put a cute mirror. And notice my little baskets on the shelf! :)

I am still looking for a green mirror to put above the changing table to match the bedding. And this weekend I also got baskets to go underneath the changing table on the table's shelves. They are nice and big and fit PERFECTLY on the shelf! Just need to fill those baskets up before the baby comes with diapers and such! :)

Now I just need to figure out how to convince the cat that sleeping on the nice changing pad isn't a good idea. I think he thinks it is a new bed for him... and contours nicely to his big fat body!

CARSEAT! :)

We got a carseat this weekend! I am pretty excited about it. Why? I have no idea... maybe because it was one of the main things on my list that I still needed to get and now it is done! Just one less thing we have to worry about.

Shopping for car seats has been interesting. I of course liked the cute ones with the cute designs and Ryan liked the sturdy and safe ones. A while ago we looked at some carseatss and Ryan really liked this expensive red and black one. Today I really wanted to get a carseat because we don't go to the big city often so I watned to take advantage of our trip. We went to a couple different stores and kept going back to the same couple of carseats. I knew Ryan secretly still liked the black and red one that we had looked at before and he kept mentioning that it was the same color as the interior of our car and would match very nicely. So even though it was the most expensive carseat in the stores I caved in and we got it.

Quick update

My brother-in-law has been visiting this week, so I haven't done much baby stuff and don't have too much to report on.

We go for our next apt. in a week and a day!! Hooray! Those 4 weeks went by freaking fast... but so has this pregnancy... so yeah.

I haven't gained much weight since my last appointment, which could be a good thing since I gained 6 pounds in between my last 2 appointments! Ha! But I was sick 2 weeks ago and lost 2 pounds. I have gained back those two pounds and have kind of been stuck there, I think at about 13 pounds total so far with 13 weeks left. It seems like my weight gain has been pretty sporadic this pregnancy, not coming gradually like a normal person, but happening in little growth spurts and then not at all. Weird. But I guess I can't complain!

Also, my curtains came in yesterday! They match very nicely (Although Ryan thinks I have too much brown in the nursery). I need to buy a curtain rod to mount above the window still...so they aren't up yet. But soon... very soon!

Yesterday I had a small vanilla shake from Lotaburger... cause the baby wanted it... lol... and I swear the baby went NUTS over that shake. He was kicking soo hard and moving around like a little monster! Don't know if he like it or hated it.. but I might have to try it again sometime so Ryan can see his kid go nuts!

And this weekend we are going back to our hometown to visit my Mom for her birthday. It is the first time going back since I've gotten a preggars belly... and I am nervous for every one's reactions there. I am expecting lots of belly rubbing.... Joy! Lol

OH yeah and last night I got my first... aren't you ready to pop soon question!  And when I said, Nope, still have 3 months... the guy looked at me like I was on crack. :)  I imagine that won't be last time I hear that!

27 Weeks

I get my weekly email from Pregnancy Weekly tomorrow, but I believe the baby is 15 inches long and 2 pounds... or somewhere around there!  I feel like I've gotten bigger since last week and I have noticed my belly is starting to get in my way when I try to do things... like picking stuff up from the floor. I am, thankfully, feeling very good still minus some restless nights sleep here and there and an aching back/hips every now and again.  This past week I must have looked very pregnant because it was the first time that visitors at work noticed that I was pregnant. I had 2 comments in one day...both by dudes about me being pregnant. I thought that was weird... but they were the first strangers/visitors at work to say something to me.. so I guess it is pretty obvious now! Lol  What do you think?  :)

Bedding

My bedding came in today! And of course I had to put it on the crib. My mom told me to keep it in the plastic and I was like... ummm... too late! Lol  I LOVE it!  :)

Hard decisions

I mentioned in my last post that one of the things on my to do list before the baby comes is to find a new home for one of our dogs. We adopted a new puppy about a year and a half ago and while we love him very much, even though he has caused us lots of headaches. I have debated getting rid of him thousands of times! Lol But he is just soo darn cute that it makes it pretty hard!

We adopted him so that our beloved first dog could have a friend and a playmate while we are at work. And while the puppy loves her.... I am not sure she loves him quite as much. His personality is very strong. He is a big giant loveable goof ball... BUT he likes to be the center of attention and has bad food aggression with other dogs. So needless to say, he has tried to kill our older dog several times... not to mention our cat. (He hates cats.)

So... Ryan and I had a loong talk about whether or not we would trust him with the baby. We layed sod this year and have lush beautiful lawn that I would hope next summer we could be outside playing on with the baby. However, we are just not sure we would be comfortable bringing the baby outside with the puppy. He is a little reckless and even though he is a year and half, still has no control over his body and can easily knock me down, without even trying to. Not to mention that food aggression thing. I would hate to have the baby caught in the middle of a food fight.  Sooo.... we decided we needed to give him away. :(  I know it is going to kill me see him go to another home, but I hope that if we find him a good home it will make it a little easier. I love that dumb dog so much! He just melts my heart when he looks at me with his big dumb rusty colored eyes! But it is going to be what is best for our family.

So if anyone knows of someone looking for a dog.... PLEASE let me know!  He is a beautiful boy. All white with a rusty mask over his eyes and diamond dot in the middle of his head. He needs a place where he has lots of room to run and to probably be the only dog. He does jump fences... but he always comes back within minutes because he is a giant chicken. :)

To Do list!

I keep thinking there are soo many things I need to do before the baby comes. I just made a list and it doesn't seem... THAT long... but I am sure I am forgetting things.

  • Decorate the Nursery
  • Buy cute little baskets for the changing table shelves
  • Buy a Car Seat
  • Buy a Breast Pump
  • Figure out Childcare
  • Find a home for one of our dogs
  • After the showers buy whatever we still need that people didn't get us on our registry

We already have, crib, just bought crib bedding, bassinet, bassinet sheets, changing table and pad and one pad cover, swing, and like 4 outfits, one bib set and a pair of socks! Lol  We are on the waiting list for daycare and have a lead on a babysitter and the dog... well that is another blog in itself! :)

The list that I still need seems small... but living in a small town makes shopping for some if it a lot harder than it should be! I wish I could just run to the store to buy a car seat and pump... but it is totally not that easy!

I need to go to bed...

Not only did I buy bedding and curtains... I just bought Ryan's birthday present. I should go to bed before I spend any more money tonight! Oy!

Curtain situation

I have decided not to buy the curtains that match the bedding set that I like for the nursery. Mostly because our window is oddly shaped and I would have had to buy like 4 or 5 panels to fit our window. Instead I JUST bought some cool plain brown curtains from JC Penny's that block out noise and 99% of the light. I only had to buy 2 panels of that one and they were on sale!  SCORE!  I know Brown isn't very exciting, but I kind of liked the idea of getting a more plain curtain that can last longer in the room than 5 polka dot panels that we might not be able to use for more than a year or so.   Plus I can get some cool blue and green lace valances to hang on top of the plain brown curtain to make it more nursery-like and match the rest of the bedding!   :)  I hope it ends up looking ok!

I also couldn't resist and ended up buying the bedding that I've been eyeing and had on our registry. I can't wait for it to come in so I can see how it looks and get some decorating ideas.  My mom actually came up with a good idea and told me to buy one of the curtain panels that go with the bedding set and I can cut it up and use it to decorate. I kind of like the idea, because then everything will match perfectly!

I guess it is safe to say.... I'm nesting.

26 weeks!

According to my pregnancy ticker I have 98 days left until my due date! Umm... wow! How the heck did that happen? Where has the time gone? I thought 9 months would take FOREVER and really it has flown by! According to pregnancy weekly the baby is 14 inches long and weighs almost 2 pounds! I still don't feel very pregnant although I am getting some more aches and pains. It isn't until I walk by a mirror or something and catch my reflection and then I am like, Oh Yeah, I'm Pregnant! Lol

Also, our changing table came in yesterday. We were on vacation this weekend so we were too tired to put it together yesterday. But I think I am going to work on it as soon as I finish this blog! :)  I also think I might order some of the bedding. I have it on my registry... but I don't think I can wait until our shower. Lol Plus, I think I won't get any inspiration when it comes to decorating the nursery until I can see the bedding and the colors of it.

So here is my 26 wk picture!  :)

Baby Name

I've been getting some questions lately about what our baby's name is.

Yes, it's true... we've come up with a baby name. Truth is, we've had the baby name for a LOOOONG time. We just haven't told anyone. :)

For the longest time I was set on one name and Ryan wasn't 100% sold on it. He randomly came up with another name one day and said he kind of liked the way it sounded and I actually wasn't opposed to it. Funny thing was, I had a dream about the very name Ryan had come up with very early on in my pregnancy, except it was associated with having twins. Well, no twins... but I did take it as a bit of a sign and the name has grown tremendously on me and I now favor it over my initial first choice.

In the privacy of our home with just the two of us, we've already started calling baby by his name and referring to him by his name. Which is soo neat! :)

So why haven't we told anyone? I don't know. It is kind of nice to have a little secret, plus part of me is a little terrified that someone will say it is a terrible name. :)  I know I shouldn't care what people think of the name, but come on, you know someone will hate it! Lol

Anyway, we've talked about disclosing the name at our baby showers. I thought that would be a neat surprise for our friends and family. Although I am still a bit nervous to let our secret out.. I am pretty sure our friends and family will love to hear the name and for those not at the shower... I am sure there will be pictures!

Morning sickness

25 weeks in and I just had my first bout of morning sickness.  I know I am a lucky duck! But boy did it suck waking up this morning!  I am pretty sure it was my very delicious lunch I had yesterday... a trip to Sweet Tomatoes.  Baby doesn't like vegetables. He keeps trying to tell me that... and I just don't listen! OK kid... I heard you loud and clear this morning! No more salads for lunch... at least not for the next 3 mos! :)

Update.... looks like it is more than just morning sickness. I tried to go to work. I forced myself to work half a day and then I thought I was going to die. Came home and hugged the john again and then slept til 5. So it looks like I have some sort of virus or bug or something. Wonderful. Just what I need.

25 weeks

15 weeks left or 105 days!  Holy Moly!  Baby now weighs over a pound and a half!  According to my picture I grew a lot this past week... no wonder I was gaining weight like crazy last week!  Maybe I should start cropping my head out of these pictures... because I look like hell! All that nesting I did today took a toll! lol

For fun here is my picture this week and a last week for comparison! :)

Nursery developments

We picked up our crib this weekend! Hooray! We had a hard time getting it into the nursery and my poor husband... even though it was past his bedtime... took it all apart and moved it into the nursery, piece by piece and then put it back together for me! :) AND he moved furniture around for me too! All because he knew today is my day off and I was planning on doing some MAJOR nesting in there today. What a good hubby!

I spent 3 hours this morning reorganizing! We have been using our spare bedrooms as somewhat of a storage space. I almost have the baby's closet empty... just have a couple of things on the floor that I need to see what Ryan wants to do with. I also emptied that dresser in the corner which had blankets and sheets in it and reorganized our bathroom closet so everything would fit in there and the entryway closet so all the jackets we had in the nursery would fit in there! Whew! I am tired!  Oh yeah and I also placed the bassinet next to my side of the bed to see if it would fit and it looked so cute there I didn't want to move it back into the nursery! Lol

As you can see we have a crib, dresser,  a twin bed, bookshelf behind the door (there is a tiny nook there) and I don't know if you can see it but to the left is a swing. The only thing I have left is a changing table. It is going to go where the swing is and when the baby comes the swing will be in the living room.  I am thinking of ordering the changing table today... I saw on online that I really liked! :)  Then we will have all the big stuff that we need in there!  The next step is to figure out how to decorate those naked and empty walls!  Oh the excitement!  Guess I don't need to do it ALL today! Lol

24 week appointment

Our doctor's apt. was interesting, but overall good.  Like I expected I gained quite a bit of weight since my last apt.! At my 20 week apt. I had gained a total of 6 pounds for the entire pregnancy... I have gained 6 pounds since then!  BUT that only puts me at a total of 12 pounds, which is in the normal range as far weight gain for 24 weeks, so the Dr. wasn't worried. Just told me not to gain 6 pounds every time she sees me! Lol

Baby looks healthy and happy and had a nice strong heartbeat!  BUT according to my ultrasound I have a low lying placenta. The doctor wasn't terribly concerned because she said it was still early and most of the time your placenta will move up as time goes on and you grow. The good news is we get another ultrasound so they can check the placenta!  I was excited about that because it will be nice to see our little man before he comes out and it will be even nicer to verify 110% that he is a boy! :)  IF our next ultrasound shows that the placenta is still too low and hasn't moved then we will probably get one more ultrasound before the baby comes and if it still is in the way, then I will unfortunately have to have a C-section. :( Eeek!  If the placenta is in the way, it will block the cervix and the baby won't be able to come out. So.. fingers crossed it moves and yay for an extra ultrasound! :)

How far along?: 24 weeks

How big is baby?: The length of a corn and a pound and a half!

Weight gain/loss?:  12 pounds

Stretch marks?: None yet... Hope it stays that way! :) The Dr. told me that my skin looked really good today! I was all excited!

Maternity clothes?: Living in my maternity pants for work and dresses when I'm not working! But still mix and matching maternity and non maternity shirts.

Sleep?: I have my good nights and my bad nights... but overall still fairly decent.

Food cravings?: Raspberries and steak. I love fruit. I eat more than I need to everyday! Lol.  Raspberries for breakfast, bananas, peaches, blueberry muffins, cherries... you name it! Mmm....

Gender?: Boy

Movement?:  When 22 weeks hit... I started feeling him like CRAZY. I feel him every morning when I wake up, it is like he is doing flips in my stomach while I am laying there trying to wake up! There are days where I feel him a ton during the day and other days where I don't feel him very much, but it is starting to be more consistent.

Belly button: Still an innie and stretching a little larger than normal.

What are you looking forward to this week?: We get to pick up our crib this weekend and I am going to start some major nesting in the nursery!

Body Pillow Fail...

Yesterday I thought it was about time to start sleeping with a body pillow at night. I knew it was time because I started looking forward to Ryan getting up  that hour and half before I do, so I could steal his pillow and sleep with it! Lol  (poor guy!) So I went to bed with the stupid body pillow last night.

I felt like it took up the whole bed, but I was excited to use it. That dreaded thing... I had terrible nightmares ALL night long! I would wake up and go back to bed and the nightmare would continue right where it left off! I am sure it is was just a crazy pregnancy dream... but I woke up blaming it all on the evil body pillow! This morning when Ryan woke up I kicked the body pillow off the bed and went back to his pillow! :) And for the last hour and a half of my night I had dreams about kittens and puppies.  So there.  Maybe I will just sleep with an extra pillow instead of the body pillow tonight! Lol

AND Tomorrow we go for our 24 week apt! I can't wait!!! I am soooo excited to hear our little one's heartbeat again!  It seems like this apt has taken forever to come because we usually go on Mondays and this time isn't until Friday! Although I am a little nervous because I feel like I have gained sooo much weight since my last apt! I think I was at like +7 pounds at my 20 week apt. and I know I have really popped since then, but I though I  would be plus +12 pounds, but the scale says I have gained another 2 pounds.... so maybe +14!!! Doubling my weight gain in 4 weeks! Lol

Soccer Ball?

I got my 24 week update email yesterday and it said that my uterus is the size of a soccer ball. As a soccer nut and coach it makes me wonder... What size soccer ball?  Is it is a little kid's size 3 soccer ball? Or my size, a size 5 soccer ball?  I wish they would specify... I'd like to know! :)  So if the baby is the size of a corn and my uterus is the size of some sort of soccer ball... no wonder I look the way I do! :)

24 weeks

Here is my 24 week shot... I look a lot bigger than I feel! Lol I saw this picture and I was like whoa, I am huge! But I still feel pretty small! Don't know if that is a good thing or not?! Compared to last week, I look pretty much the same... not real giant growth spurt or anything like my 22 week picture! I will do my 24 week stats on Friday after our apt. so I can get an accurate weight gain... my guess is 11 or 12 pounds.. but we shall see. I can't wait for our 24 week apt! The doctor should have gotten the report from the ultrasound tech from our ultrasound, so I am a little anxious to see what she has to say about that and I hope everything on our little man is growing as it should. Until then... me 24 weeks preggars with baby Wags:

Glorious Sleep!

Ok I guess I spoke to soon when I wrote a blog bitching about my lack of sleep!  I just woke up from 11 hours of glorious sleep! I did get up once... just once... at 7 to let the pooches out and pee... but I went right back to sleep after that and didn't get up until 10!   Amazing!  Now to try to be productive after sleeping in so late!

All Hands on Belly.......

I forgot to post these awhile back, but I thought they were too cute to not post! :)

Me with my sister in laws over the July 4th weekend! They touched my belly the ENTIRE weekend! So this picture was pretty fitting.

And this one is me with my cousin/God daughter for my birthday! We had just flown in from Dallas, so I look kinda poopy. But she was rubbing my belling telling everyone that it was HER baby! She is in the "mine" stage, but I thought it was funny!

It is funny how much your belly becomes a hand magnet when you are pregnant! I definitely don't mind my family or even friends touching my belly... but other people... well that is another story! Luckily I have only had one non-family member touch my belly... and it was sooo freaking awkward! Lol  It was one of my work supervisors, he works for a different agency than I do, but the bosses take turns managing the center that I work at. He LOVES kids (apparently) and he always asks me all about my pregnancy whenever he sees me. He randomly came into the center the other day and when we said goodbye, he patted my stomach... I was like Whoa! I mean, what do you do? What do you say?  He is a supervisor, so I didn't want to be like, umm don't you go there Mr.! Lol   Oy!  I imagine it is only going to get worse, the larger I grow!

What trimester is this??

Sleep has not been a friend of mine... I thought that wasn't supposed to happen yet?!  During my first trimester, like clockwork I got up EVERY night for the first 10 weeks or so to pee at precisely 3:00 AM. That went away for a glorious 12 weeks and now it is back. :S

It started when we were in Dallas for the 4th. I thought maybe it was just the different environment that I was sleeping in that caused the change and when we returned home so would my schedule. I was wrong. Also another thing that has joined in during this middle of the night wake up is waking up completely parched... like I just stepped out of the Sahara Desert! This morning at 3:00 in the morning I was soo thirsty that I HAD to get up and get a bottle of water... figured I might as well pee while I was awake. Then of course I have a hard time going back to sleep.

I guess this is good preparation for a newborn, but I thought that whole having a hard time sleeping and getting up to pee thing was coming full swing during the third trimester.... what will I be like then?

I know I shouldn't complain, I have been very blessed this entire pregnancy with feeling VERY good.  BUT, getting up at 3 or so to pee, being not all the way asleep when Ryan gets up at 4 something,  letting the stupid dogs out to pee at 5 or so and then getting up at 6.... makes for not very much sleep the last part of my night.   And that is all! :)

DayCare?

Today I called the two daycares in town. Yes, I realize I still have 4 months before this kid comes and 3 months of maternity leave... BUT this is a small town with only a handful of childcare places that tend to fill up fairly quickly, so I thought I'd get a head start!

The thought of sending my child to daycare kind of stinks. I NEVER went to daycare and neither did Ryan.  His mom was a stay at home mommy and I was fortunate enough to live in the same town as my wonderful grandparents who watched me until I went to school. Unfortunately, we live in a town where we don't have any family. We have made some amazing friends here, but pretty much all of them work. And while I could feasibly stay home and not work... I have worked very hard at my career and after 8 years of working for the federal government, I JUST became a permanent employee this past February (ironically the same week we found out we were expecting!). I would hate to throw that away, I LOVE my job and federal jobs are VERY hard to come by.  So right now daycare is the best option for us.

My boss has said I can bring my baby to the visitor center I work at. Which would mean I would only need daycare/childcare for 2 days a week... which makes the idea of sending our baby to daycare a bit easier! I am not sure how long I can handle bringing my baby to work, but I figure the first 3 months or so (before he starts moving around a lot) it will work out just fine. And because Ryan and I don't have the same schedule, even at the worst we would only need daycare 4 days a week instead of 5.

Any who, I called and compared 2 daycares today. I REALLY liked the first one, the lady was very nice and personable, they are VERY close to my office and super duper reasonable. The second place I called it sounded like every single kid in the entire daycare was crying or screaming! Umm... yeah that is definitely not a good sign! Lol   I mean I know we are going to have to go look at the place and meet the people before we make a decision... but based on first impressions over the phone... I would have to go with the place where the children weren't screaming bloody murder in the background!  I am waiting for a call back from the first place, because they have a waiting list, but the girl I talked to didn't know how long it was. Hopefully 7 months in advance will be enough time to make the cut! I am actually kind of nervous! I hope they call me soon!

Dance, Dance, Dance!

Last summer I started going to Zumba classes. I LOVED Zumba and went until I was about 8 or so weeks pregnant. Then I had that wonderful pregnancy symptom of sore hurting boobs and all the jumping about made me cringe. So I took a break. And you know what happens when you take a break from exercising.... it is soo hard to go back! It was also my soccer season, so I was quite busy, coaching, but after that was over I was scared to go back to Zumba because I didn't know if it would be too much for me. I continued to walk on the treadmill almost everyday, but that doesn't quite get your heart rate up like Zumba or soccer does!  My friend Caryn has continued to go to Zumba and I had a conversation with her a couple weeks ago and realized how much I missed Zumba.  I got the courage to try and go again two weeks ago... and I didn't die like I had expected! Lol.   Last week I took a break because we were on vacation, but I went back again this week!

I think I will continue to go once a week... I know it isn't a lot, but their times don't really mesh well with my work schedule, except for Mondays which is my day off!  I LOVE how I feel after Zumba and I have soo much fun dancing. Although, I am a little paranoid about what all the other ladies think of the big ole pregnant lady shaking her booty in the front row! Lol

Also, you can't read the shirt below, but I just got it from my old dance teacher. I danced from 3rd grade until I was a senior in high school, doing everything from, tap, jazz, ballet to country western clogging.... my favorite! :) I think I am one of the first of my dance teacher's students to have a baby. She was very excited when she found out that I was expecting! She went online and found a shirt that her mother had gotten her when she was pregnant. It says, "I should have danced all night!"  Lol. I wore it to Zumba today. I didn't know anyone there, so nobody said anything about it. Although, I did get a lot of stares, but that is pretty typical since I have a big ole belly anyway!

23 weeks

I think I need to clean my mirror! Lol  Here is my 23 week shot! I was nervous that I would have grown a bunch from last week... but I look about the same, just a bit rounder! I feel like I've gained a lot and feel a lot bigger.... but the pictures don't lie! Lol

This week the baby has hit the 1 pound mark! While momma has hit like the 11 or 12 pound mark! Ha!  I have been feeling my little man wiggle a LOT! I love feeling him move! My favorite time is the morning when I wake up. He seems to just be moving all around in the morning and I love just laying there feeling him!

We go for our next ob appointment next Friday, which I am excited about. The Dr. should have all the information from our ultrasound so it will be interesting to hear what she has to say. I think I only have one more 4 week apt. with her and then I start going every 2 weeks... already! I can't believe how fast this is going!

Here's the Kicker...

I swear once I hit 22 weeks it was like all of a sudden I could feel the baby A LOT. Maybe he hit a growth spurt, bulked up some or just changed positions, but whatever it is I love it! :)  I still feel him more during the morning when I am waking up, but it seems like I can feel him a lot more now. And last night I felt him kick from the outside! It was the first time I have ever felt him kick from the outside!  I can't wait to start feeling him more and for Ryan and our family to feel him to!

Mile Marker for baby Waggoner : 22 weeks... first kick felt from the outside! :)

And We Have a CRIB!

Well, not quite yet... but the process has started! My fabulous Aunt and Uncle didn't need their crib anymore for our beautiful God-Daughter, Bella because she now has a big girl bed. My mom worked out a deal with them and we will soon have a very nice Baby Appleseed Davenport crib in our nursery!  Not to mention all the other things they are giving us that they no longer need for Bella, we are very lucky to have such amazing family and friends willing to give us anything that they can for our little bundle!

22 weeks

I think it safe to say I grew a lot this week. I wonder how large I will end up... it is a scary thought, actually! Lol

For Fun... here is last week's picture and then this week's picture so you can laugh with me how much I grew in one week! :)

26th Birthday

I woke up on the morning of my 26th birthday to a baby wiggling and squirming within my belly. If that isn't the best birthday present I could have ever asked for, then I don't know what is! :)  Of course reality set in quickly when the dogs had to be let out and I realized one of them... or both had peed a river in our laundry room and the cat also had an accident! Lol.... Happy Birthday from the animals!

I had the best birthday weekend. We went to Dallas to visit Ryan's dad, step mom and sisters. I got some great outlet shopping done... at the Coach store! :) Got myself a birthday present purse and a diaper bag that was 80% off! :)  Score one for me! I ended up with 2 purses (one for my mom for her birthday next month) and the baby bag, all for the price of one bag from the Coach online store! :)   I got treated to an amazing pedicure... since it is getting harder and harder to reach my toes by the day!

I am pretty sure my belly has never been touched as much as it was this weekend. My sister in laws were ALL over this belly!  I got poked and prodded and kissed... you name it. But perhaps the cutest thing was the girls talking to the baby. Rebecca started it by going up to my stomach and introducing herself. She said, "Hi baby, I am your Aunt Becca and i am your favorite Aunt" Of course Katie couldn't let that slide so she ran over and said, "No I am your favorite Aunt and I am your Aunt Katie!" Lol That went on all weekend and I thought it was hilarious! :)

I am soo glad that we got to see the girls and that they got to see me pregnant... it is like part of the process of creating their little nephew and I love how much they already love him! :) I have a bunch of pictures... but still need to upload them and go through them!  And I still need to take my belly shot for the week... Guess I will be back later!

21 Weeks

Baby is 3/4 of a pound and 10 1/2 inches long!

Hello Heartburn!

Just the past 2 weeks I have noticed a yucky pregnancy symptom.... the evil heartburn!  I don't believe I have ever had heartburn before and it is gross! During my first trimester I got evening nausea. I was very fortunate that I didn't ever throw up... but nausea and heartburn are VERY different. I guess I should be very thankful if this is the worst  of my pregnancy symptoms!

The number one thing I have learned that causes me heartburn is tomatoes, I guess because they are soo acidy. This is a huge bummer because I am Italian and LOVE pasta and pasta sauce and tomatoes. Another bummer is that I live in New Mexico where our favorite snack ever in the whole world is chips and salsa.  Sauce and Salsa cause me lots of nasty heartburn. That is ok though, because there are other things that I LOVE to eat that don't cause me heartburn... like raspberries and steak! :) Lol  I could eat steak every night. If only steak wasn't soo damn expensive!

I think I'm in Love

I cannot believe how much I love this little guy and I haven't even met him yet. It is just surreal. I never imagined I could love someone soo much before I even laid eyes on him. Ever since our ultrasound I have been completely smitten. His pictures are the background on my computers and the wallpaper on my phone. I love staring at him and trying to make out his features and imaging what he will look like. I can't wait to see him for the first time. I wonder what he will look like and who he will look or act like more.

It sounds crazy, but I am already looking forward to long nights awake just staring at him.
Sigh... I feel like he already has me wrapped around his finger and he isn't even here yet... imagine how smitten I will be when he gets here! :)

The Name Game

To Tell People your baby's name before they are born or not to tell people your baby's name before they are born. That is the question.

I have heard many sides to this debate and yet I still have no idea where I stand with it. I would love for everyone to know the name we pick out for our son, but I also don't want to hear people tell me that it is a horrible name or they knew someone named that who was a total looser.... because lets be honest, that is going to happen. But I guess if you just stick with that name no matter what, is it really going to matter what every else thinks? And there is a chance they might still tell you all of those things even after you have your kid.

That being said, no, we have not officially picked out a name. Although I think we probably have it narrowed down to two and I have a pretty good feeling which of the two it will be. Whether we decide to share that info... I have no idea. Maybe we will keep it on the DL and just tell our family and keep it a surprise from everyone else? But I will be buying cute little wall art with his name on it... whatever it will be.... to hang on our wall. :)

Going overboard?

Ok... soo I have been waiting to find out what I was having for what seems like forever and now that I KNOW I want to start shopping! I think Ryan thinks I am crazy! Lol

But can you just melt with me over these two things? Please?

THIS bedding from Target :

http://www.target.com/DwellStudio-Target-Blue-Baby-Bedding/dp/B0042F2NMM/ref=sc_ri_3?ie=UTF8&node=671344011

With THESE hand painted wall letters:

http://www.lovellabowtique.com/item_773/Brown-and-Green-Polka-Dot-Custom-Hand-Painted-Wall-Letters.htm

Oh my! Isn't that the cutest thing ever! Oh man! I WISH we had a name so I could buy the wall letters! Lol So I took a break from bedding and decor searching and went to some baby name websites and tried to force Ryan to look at them too. He kept saying we have plenty of time. Sigh... All I have to say is these cute wall letters better be ordered and hung on the wall before this kid gets here! Lol

20 weeks

How far along?: 20 weeks
How big is baby?: The length of a banana.
Weight gain/loss?: I have gained 6 pounds
Stretch marks?: None yet... Hope it stays that way! :)
Maternity clothes?: All of my pants I am wearing are maternity, but I am still mixing and matching tops and living in non maternity dresses.
Sleep?: I am sleeping very well! My first trimester I got up to pee a lot, but this second trimester I sleep like a rock all night long!
Food cravings?: Still craving raspberries... anything and everything raspberry, especially fresh raspberries! But I also have been really enjoying eating steak...
Gender?: BOY!
Movement?: Finally started feeling movements the past couple weeks. I SWEAR I felt a kick last night when I was laying down trying to sleep with my hand on my belly! After seeing the baby on the ultrasound today I couldn't believe how much the baby moves around and how little I still feel. But I know that will change!
Belly button: Normal, but kinda sensitive. Ryan has been teasing me soo much about my belly button popping out, but it is a super innie so I don't think it will... but right now it is still an innie, it is just kind of sensitive.
What are you looking forward to this week?: Telling everyone that it is a boy! Shopping and looking for boy stuff and feeling him move and hopefully Ryan feel him soon too!

And I decided to nix the weekly dress pictures, because I feel soo huge in clothes, especially baggy dresses and not as big when I wear other things. So I decided I would wear something more fitted for my weekly pictures so we can really tell how I am growing.

Its A......

Healthy Baby Boy! :)

Even more exciting than finding out that it was a boy was finding out that he is totally healthy and growing as he should! Two arms, two legs, Nice big head, eyes, nose, ears and a healthy steady heartbeat with 4 little chambers! Oh what a beautiful sight! :)

Happy Father's Day!

We had a busy weekend with Ryan's cousin's wedding in Albuquerque and Father's Day! It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time with all of our Family! I was even able to see some of my family that I hadn't seen in awhile, my Uncle Andrew's family and his adorbale kids Ava and Dominic! We also go to have a nice Father's Day lunch with my parents and Ryan got his first Daddy's day cards and a small present from me! I gave him some Dallas Cowboys onesies that were pretty neutral in color, since we don't know yet what we will be having .... but we find out TODAY!

And here are some pictures from our weekend! :)

19 weeks

I took this picture late... but here is the dress that I plan to wear for Ryan's cousin's wedding this weekend. It looks ALOT different from the last time I wore it! Lol

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Sorry I didn't write this week! But I promise next week will be better! Especially since we have our BIG ultrasound in 4 days! I have been feeling some movement... but it is very slight. Fluttering and some little flicks every now and again! That is neat. I thought I would be able to distinguish it more from like every day stuff, but I really have focus on it and there are a bunch of times, where I am like, I felt something, was that the baby? Anywho, we have a busy weekend with a family wedding and father's day. But we will take a bunch of pictures, I'm sure and Monday at 2:30 is our apt! :D

18 weeks

I feel HUGE, but I know I still have a LOONG way to go and compared to 5.5 months from now I am probably pretty small! But I guess because this is the biggest my stomach has ever been it feels pretty big! It is actually pretty cool though. Society makes you want to have a perfectly flat stomach. You spend soo much time trying to get your stomach flat and sucking in your gut any chance you get. This is one of the only times where it is ok to have a big belly! So I am embracing this! Lol I love having a little belly! :)

2 out of 3 aint bad!

Just got back from the hospital to get some blood work done. The first time I went to the hospital, it literally took like 10 minutes. Checked in, got my blood work, done. The second time... not so much. It took forever to check in, the order from the doctor was wrong and they had to contact them. Then at the lab they said the doctor sent the wrong order and they couldn't get ahold of them. It took a good 2 or 3 hours! I went in today, my day off... expecting to wait a couple of hours and I was in and out in 15 minutes! :) So, you know, 2 good visits out of 3 isn't bad at all!

The bloodwork they did today was for some scary test to see if the baby is healthy. I believe they are testing for signs of down syndrom and something else. The doctor said the test has a high false positive rate, so not to get alarmed and if it does come back positive it will just mean more ultrasounds. So now we play the waiting game! I imagine if it is positive I will know sooner than my appointement that I have in 2 weeks! Lol

Oh yeah and speaking of that apt.... 2 weeks until we find out if we should buy pink or blue!

Chalk another one up!

I never thought I'd be excited about gaining weight! Lol I went to my 16 week appointement and was a little shocked that in 4 months I had only gained 3 pounds! I thought that sounded sooo low. The doctor wasn't concerned at all so I tried to brush it off. But, I climbed on the scale this morning and I was happy to see I had gained another pound! Lol So now I am moving into my 18th week with 4 pounds instead of 3 :)

2 week comparison

I know I've posted both of these pictures... but I think this 2 week comparison is crazy! I seemed to have just popped between 15 and 17 weeks! Plus I don't like my 16 week picture (thinking about deleting it lol!). So here is my comparison from 15 to 17 weeks. Grey dress is 15 weeks and Green dress is 17!
