Yeah... I know I've been sick.  But I lost 5 pounds while being sick! Lol Yesterday I went on a walk during my lunch break at work... the first bit of exercise I'd had in like 2 weeks cause of my sickness.  I woke up totally sore... and I got on the scale and another pound fell off!  I officially weigh LESS than what I did when I got pregnant.

I am *trying* to eat better because when I went to the doctor last week she brought up my blood pressure. I always had really great blood pressure, until I got pregnant. It is not uncommon for your blood pressure to go up a bit while pregnant and it was never anything to cause concern... until now. For some reason my blood pressure never went back down after I had Colin and the doctor said when we bring Colin in next month for his 4 month apt.... if my blood pressure is still elevated that she wants to put me on blood pressure meds.  :( She was not happy about putting a 26 year old on blood pressure meds.

 She gave me paperwork about the DASH diet. Which essentially is cutting back red meats, sodium and sugar from your diet. I thought I was doing a pretty decent job of doing this anyway. I LOVED steak while I was pregnant, but now cant remember the last time I even had a steak. Sodium and Sugar is a weakness of mine... and I am working on that.

I am going to try my darndest to eat better and exercise a bit more before Colin's apt. in hopes to not get on blood pressure meds! Last night I made, garlic, shrimp and zucchini pasta, which is totally DASH friendly and one of my favorite meals. Tonight we are going out for Salmon and salad.  Here's hoping it pays off!
